JEMPUTAN KE PROGRAM “GO-EXPORT” MATRADE, KUANTAN, PAHANG, 22 OKTOBER 2013

Adalah dimaklumkan bahawa MATRADE akan menganjurkan Program “Go Export” di Kuantan, Pahang. Butiran program adalah seperti berikut:-

Objektif program ini adalah untuk memaklumkan kepada usahawan dan pengeksport tempatan khususnya dari Pantai Timur  mengenai perkhidmatan, kemudahan, program serta aktiviti MATRADE pada tahun 2013. Pada kali ini ia bertemakan kepada “Perdagangan Bebas Membawa Kemakmuran Negara”. Program ini juga bertujuan untuk mendapatkan maklumbalas serta mengetahui masalah serta isu-isu semasa berkaitan perdagangan antarabangsa di dalam usaha berterusan MATRADE untuk memperkasakan pengeksport dan usahawan Malaysia ke pasaran global.

Program ini akan disertai oleh beberapa agensi kerajaan seperti MITI, MIDA, SIRIM QAS international, EXIM Bank, MPC, HDC, MAI, SME Bank, dan SME Corp. Para peserta boleh berinteraksi dengan mereka di kaunter informasi yang akan dibuka pada hari tersebut sehingga jam 5.00 petang.

Majlis Anugerah Usahawan Terengganu 2013 akan diadakan pada 11 Disember 2013 dan dijangka akan disempurnakan oleh YAB. Menteri Besar Terengganu.

Usahawan Pantai Timur Perlu Keluar Dari “Zon Selesa” Dan Bersedia Ambil Risiko Teroka Pasaran Luar- Matrade

KUALA TERENGGANU, 29 Mei (Bernama) — Usahawan-usahawan tempatan, terutama di Pantai timur, perlu keluar dari “zon selesa” dan bersedia meneroka pasaran luar.

 

Pengarah Wilayah Timur Perbadanan Pembangunan Perdagangan Luar Malaysia (Matrade) Hasziah Mohd Yazid berkata mereka dilihat masih berada dalam “zon selesa” dan tidak mahu mengambil risiko untuk meneroka pasaran luar walau pun ia peluang terbaik untuk menempa lebih banyak keuntungan dan kejayaan dalam membangunkan satu-satu jenama.

Katanya antara kekangan yang dihadapi usahawan tempatan ialah masalah pengeluaran barangan yang tidak dapat memenuhi permintaan dalam skala besar ekoran pengeluaran di kilang yang masih kecil.

“Banyak produk jenama tempatan yang bagus dan berkualiti tinggi serta diterima ramai, malangnya ia masih gagal menembusi segmen pasaran luar negara secara konsisten.”

“Namun, ada juga usahawan tempatan yang berjaya membina jenama mereka dan mendapat sambutan baik dari negara luar dan Matrade menjadikan mereka ini sebagai ikon berjaya untuk diikuti usahawan lain,” katanya.

Beliau berkata demikian kepada Bernama di sini hari ini pada bengkel bertajuk “Pelan Pemasaran Eksport” yang disertai 54 usahawan dari Kelantan, Terengganu dan Pahang.

Hasziah berkata kesemua usahawan itu mewakili 36 sektor perniagaan pelbagai bidang termasuk pembuatan makanan seperti makanan sejuk beku, air berkarbonat dan kopi pra-campuran, tekstil, kayu dan perabot, perkhidmatan yang merangkumi kejuruteraan, hartanah dan latihan.

“Penganjuran bengkel ini bertujuan memberi pendedahan terhadap usahawan mengenai peluang dan perkembangan pasaran eksport yang masih luas untuk mereka terokai.”

“Usahawan juga akan diajar bagaimana untuk menjadi seorang pengeksport yang berjaya terutamanya dalam mengendalikan hal ehwal perniagaan di dalam dan luar negara melalui bengkel ini,” katanya.

Matrade Wilayah Timur ditubuhkan pada Jun 2008 sebagai jaringan tempatan untuk memastikannya hadir secara fizikal dan menjadi penghubung pengeksport di Pantai Timur ke pasaran antarabangsa.
Bengkel pelan pemasaran itu disampaikan oleh seorang pensyarah kanan salah sebuah universiti di Kuala Lumpur, A B Teoh. Beliau juga menulis buku bertajuk “Exporting and International Trade” serta penulis rencana tetap Trademart, iaitu satu majalah untuk pengeksport yang diterbitkan oleh Matrade.

Hasziah berkata Matrade turut memberi nasihat bagi perkara yang berkaitan promosi eksport global dan membantu pendaftaran sebagai pengeksport dan bakal pengeksport melalui Pendaftar Eksport Matrade (MER).

“Kami juga mengadakan lawatan ke kilang milik syarikat yang berpotensi bagi memantau perkembangan eksport, seterusnya memastikan syarikat itu mampu berdaya saing dan bertahan di pasaran luar negara.”

“Matrade tidak bersendirian dalam hal seperti ini dan bagi usahawan di Terengganu, kerjasama yang dijalinkan dengan Yayasan Pembangunan Usahawan (YPU) Terengganu sangat signifikan dalam pembangunan perniagaan sesebuah syarikat untuk mereka menembusi pasaran global,” katanya.

Banyak program yang akan diadakan oleh Matrade Wilayah Timur sepanjang tahun ini antaranya termasuklah penganjuran bengkel Pelan Pemasaran Eksport di Kuantan pada September depan dan Seminar Eksport Batik dan Kraftangan ke Pasaran Global di Kota Bharu pada November depan. Satu lagi seminar Mengembangkan Perniagaan Melalui E-Niaga juga akan diadakan di Kelantan serta Program Kenali Matrade di Kuantan pada Disember depan.

TOK BALI LIVING PORT

Tok Bali Port is part of East Coast Economic Region (ECER) development plan of which is expected to reach RM 3.2 billion. It is estimated the private sector funded RM3.0 billion while the government would contribute the additional RM230 million to the project.

The new Tok Bali Port is developed and operated by East Coast Terminal Sdn Bhd. Due to the rapid cargo volumes growth in Kemaman, Kuantan, Singapore, Tanjung Pelepas, West Port, Port Klang and Penang Ports together with the demand for cargo trade across the South China seas increased such as in Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam and China, Tok Bali Port will want to take this advantage of transhipment and feeder services to meet the demands for these markets. Thus a comprehensive development masterplan is necessary to develop a comprehensive port facility to meet the capacity requirement and providing high level services in the new Tok Bali Port.

The first phase of the project has been identified and will be developed into a 200m quay wall and berth facilities for up to 5000-20,000 dwt vessel. This will be sited on a 33 acres of land at the mouth of Semerak channel in Tok Bali. The terminal will cater for break bulk, oil and container barges and vessels. Warehousing and light industries will be developed including bunkering and stevedoring facilities for vessels calling at Tok Bali Ports. The bunkering will provide fuel oil for ocean going vessels as wells as to local fishing boats, Marine Police and APMM.

First Shipment Portokbali-Qingzhou Port

The second phase of development will consist of additional berths and quay walls to cater for more industries, warehousing and trade in Tok Bali port areas. The second phase will cater for more commercial, industrial and Free Trade Zones areas for sale and lease. To the north of the Semerak canal, it is planned for an Oil & Gas terminal and supply bases for offshore support activities in the Oil & Gas sectors. Shipping and Oil & Gas activities in the South China seas are, accordingly, being expanded and developed to capitalize on this major market opportunity and the considerable economic benefits it represents. The region’s shipping and Oil & Gas terminals are well positioned to capture a large share of the growth in imports and exports from and to Asia.

The third phase of the development will see a complete realignment of the Semerak Canal that will traverse southwards from the existing Semerak canal to Cherang Ruku lagoon and traverse outwards to the South China Sea to the east. This was planned to have an ingress and egress shipping traffic so as to avoid shipping congestion or minimize any turning basin for the ships entering Tok Bali port.The third phase will have more berths and facilities including warehousings, container freight stations, commercial and industrial areas, Halal Hubs, storage yards and cargo facilities, hotel and apartments, residentials, comprehensive passenger ferry terminal and a marina facilities and other tourism related development at the mouth of Seputeh lagoon.
