Eastman Chemical (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is 100% own by American entity. Eastman has 11 manufacturing sites located around the world and several sales offices around the globe. The branch in Kuantan, Pahang concentrates on manufacturing. Approximately 80 people are employed at Eastman's Malaysia site. The plant has started their operation since April 1998. The Eastman Chemical (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd site produces products primarily used in the manufacturing of specialty film, signage, furniture, and decorative laminates. The product also widely used in packaging and advertising. Eastman Chemical (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd product is declared as made in Malaysia products and the company technology had been patented. The company had already exported their product to China, Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Thailand. The company had achieved 80% of export and in the future Eastman Chemical (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd aim to export their product to Australia and India.
