The company first started by focusing on sewing activity as a commercial venture with the status of factory product. It retained Ministry of Finance's "Manufacturer Status" from 12 Disember 1995 that owned by 100% of women or bumiputera equity.

Starting 23 November 2006, MBM Dagang registered it work wear under the brand name 'anchorman' which is synonym to its anchor symbol. Anchor potrays the strength, persistence, and challenge bravery by two women entrepreneurs in expanding their business until it current position.

Cooperation with Bumiputera Small Entrepreneurs by montor-mentee relationship via network of business as well as MARA & MIDF's 'Groom Big' programme. Corporate responsibility include working opportunity for single mum and woman workforce.
